Cooling Water Solutions
The sample systems need good quality cooling water to cool the steam and water samples to 25 °C. If the cooling water contains chlorides or hardness, stress corrosion can occur resulting in cracking of the coil material, or block the cooling water passage in the counter current coolers due to hardness deposits.
By choosing a higher grade material than ss316L for the coils, cracking can be avoided most of the time. Blockage remains a problem. Therefore potable water, brakisch water and seawater used as a coolant will need extra attention.
Closed Cooling Water Loop
- Complete turn-key unit, integrated in system or as a separate skid mounted unit.
- When only lower quality cooling water is available.
- Closed loop filled with demiwater plus additive.
- With a moderate temperature ss 316 plate heat exchanger and all components needed.

Cooling Water Booster Pump
- Complete turn-key unit, integrated in system or skid mounted.
- When cooling water supply pressure is too low for the delta p needed (1 bar).
- ss316 materials for wetted parts.

Chiller Unit
- Complete turn-key unit, integrated in system or skid mounted.
- Closed loop cooling water refrigerator unit.
- When no cooling water is available, or as a secondary cooling when cooling water temperature becomes too high to achieve a 25 °C sample temp.
- Air or water cooled.
- Self regulating to keep the optimal temperature.
- Ex chiller units suitable for hazardous zone’s available!
Air Cooled Sample Cooler
- A cost effective method in some situations when no cooling water is available
- All ss316 materials.
- Cooling capacity limited.
