Contant head vessel

Watcon designs and delivers constant head vessels giving an always constant pressure and flow to the analyser through gravity.

  • Located above the analyser.
  • Always a constant pressure and flow.
  • Excess sample diverted to drain.
  • The vessel can be equipped with a magnete to catch magnetitie which pollutes electrodes.
  • The magnetite is easily flushed to drain by removal of magnete.

Magnetite is a browm ferrous powder which pollutes the analyser sensors and can be present in the sample, especially drumwater after a stop.

There are several other methods available to overcome the magnetite pollution, please ask !

Sample coolers

All coolers have a spiral wound coil with counter current cooling water flow and perform an optimal heat transfer and quick sample throughput.

Custom made Sample coolers are a speciality of Watcon, we design, calculate and manufacture these tailor made, either for steam, water, hydrocarbons, fluids or gasses. Cooled with water or air. For the power, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and bio industry. According any code or standard, Including all necessary certificates and tests. 30 years of references available !

Cation filters

The Cation filter eliminates the contribution of ammonia to the conductivity value.
Conductivity measured after the cation filter is called CC (Cation Conductivity)

Why Watcon Cation Filters?

Plastic cation filters will eventually be effected (high pH, detoriation) causing discolorisation and hairline cracks. These cracks let air (with CO2) in the cation filter without noticing, causing the conductivity value to rise and thus give a faulty reading. As the conductivity value after cation filter is very low (> 0,5 Micro S/cm) this will immediately have effect. The Watcon filters are made for a lifetime service without chances of detoriation. Therefore also the in and outlet lines are out of ss 316 instead of plastic. Another advantage is the resistance to heat and pressure, if anything goes wrong with the sample temperature, the filter will not be effected , only the resin must be replaced. The measurement will be restored quickly, no need to order a new filter.
